How to pick a region

  • Start where your users are (not where you live).
  • Prefer providers with clear location selection and stable routing.
  • If you expect international traffic, compare a “Global” provider versus one close to the largest user cluster.
  • Validate shortlists with latency tiers and the locations page.

Need exact filtering?

Region pages are a fast shortlist. If you need exact country/city, payment methods, IPv6, refund eligibility, route tags, or benchmark presence, use VPS Finder.

Regions FAQ

Why does region matter so much?
Most VPS performance issues users feel are latency and packet loss. Region is one of the biggest drivers. If you are unsure, start with the region closest to your audience, then validate with latency tiers and your own real-user tests.
Should I pick a country page instead of a region page?
Choose a country page when jurisdiction and exact country routing are requirements. If you only care about speed, region pages are usually enough. You can also browse by exact country in VPS Finder.
Do region pages include multi-region (“global”) plans?
Yes. If a provider runs a global footprint, region filters can still match it (when a location in that region is selectable). Always confirm the exact city/country at checkout, or use the locations page to understand provider footprints.
How do I choose between multiple locations in a region?
Pick the city closest to your biggest user cluster, then validate with a quick latency test. Use latency tiers to understand typical routing outcomes, and compare providers if you need stronger policy guarantees.
What is “Global / Multi-region”?
This bucket is for providers with many locations or multi-region footprints. Use it when you want flexibility (multiple PoPs) or when you will decide location at checkout.
Why are some plans missing as detail pages?
To avoid thin/duplicate pages, we only publish plan pages once a plan has enough comparable signals (benchmarks, measured latency, refund signal, tracked price history, or reviewed notes). Use the VPS Finder dataset for full coverage.
